Astaxanthin
At a glance: 1 capsule · every morning · with breakfast · 30 capsules = 30 days.
How to use: Take one capsule each morning, ideally with breakfast. Astaxanthin is fat-soluble, so taking it alongside a meal that contains some fat helps your body absorb it- the piperine in the capsule does the rest. It works gradually, not overnight, so the habit matters more than the hour: take it at the same time each day and give it a few weeks.

Frequently asked questions

1. When will I see results?

Astaxanthin works gradually, not overnight. In clinical trials, skin benefits (texture, fine lines, elasticity, moisture) were measured from around week 4 to week 8, with longer-term effects assessed at 16 weeks. Think of it as a long-term wellness habit, not a quick fix – consistent daily use is what the research is based on.

Published human trials used roughly 3–12mg daily, with skin and antioxidant benefits seen across that range. At 8mg, this sits within the clinically studied range, toward the higher end. More isn’t automatically better — astaxanthin’s effects plateau, and the studied doses are well below any level associated with safety concerns.
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid antioxidant. It embeds within your cell membranes and helps neutralise free radicals — the unstable molecules involved in oxidative stress and cellular ageing. A meta-analysis of 12 randomized trials (380 participants) found it reduced malondialdehyde, a standard marker of oxidative damage.
It’s made with AstaReal® astaxanthin, derived naturally from the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis sourced from Fuji, Japan — not synthetic astaxanthin made from petrochemicals. AstaReal is the branded ingredient used in the majority of published human clinical trials on astaxanthin.
In clinical studies, daily astaxanthin supplementation (up to 12mg for 16 weeks) was well tolerated with no serious adverse events reported. As with any supplement, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication, or have a medical condition, consult a doctor before starting.
Adults looking to support healthy aging from the inside — particularly skin elasticity, moisture, and the body’s defense against oxidative stress. It’s positioned as a daily longevity and beauty-from-within supplement.
No — and that’s normal. Astaxanthin isn’t a stimulant; there’s no buzz or immediate sensation. Its effects are measured in lab markers and skin instruments over weeks, not felt day-to-day. Judge it by consistency over months, not by how it feels.
